Airbnb Cleaning in Prague: Prices, Checklist, Rules
What Airbnb cleaning in Prague costs between guests, what a turnover should include, how to work with a regular cleaner and which rental rules apply now.
Quick answer
Airbnb cleaning in Prague costs 799–1,200 CZK for a studio (1+kk) turnover at companies with public price lists; the difference is mainly VAT and whether laundry is included. An independent cleaner charges by the hour – 300–360 CZK/h on HledámÚklid. A turnover covers changing beds, bathroom, kitchen, floors, restocking toiletries and checking the flat.
The turnover clean between guests decides your reviews – and whether you make the next check-in. According to Prague’s planning institute IPR, about 7,878 entire homes were active on Airbnb in Prague in June 2026, roughly 1.1% of the city’s housing stock, and every one of them needs reliable cleaning. This guide covers what Airbnb cleaning in Prague includes, what companies and independent cleaners charge, how to set up a regular arrangement and which rules actually apply as of 14 October 2026.
What an Airbnb turnover clean includes
A turnover is a quick but thorough clean between check-out and check-in. On top of ordinary cleaning, it prepares the flat for the next guest and checks that everything is in order.
| Area | What to do | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Bedroom | Strip and remake the beds, replace towels, vacuum under the bed too | Stains on mattress and pillows, items left behind |
| Bathroom and toilet | Shower or bath, washbasin, mirror, toilet, floor, hair out of the drains | Toilet paper, soap, shampoo, clean towels |
| Kitchen | Dishes washed and put away, sink, hob, microwave, fridge emptied of leftovers, rubbish out and sorted | Coffee, tea, salt, sponge, washing-up liquid |
| Living area | Dusting, floors, sofa cushions, remote controls | Damaged furniture, missing items |
| Entrance | Doormat, floor, shoe rack | Keys or code, house manual |
| Finishing | Air the flat, lights off, heating down, windows closed | Photos of the flat sent to the host |
Write the checklist down and go through it with the cleaner during the first clean. With a regular cleaner you then only need to update details – a new bed, a different brand of coffee.
Linen: who washes it and what’s included
Linen is the biggest difference between Airbnb cleaning offers. According to their public price lists, Pecka úklid includes changing beds, restocking toiletries and washing linen (each extra bed +150 CZK). CleanStay doesn’t include washing or changing linen in a standard turnover and charges from 90 CZK per kilogram for laundry. Ohayno and Youklid don’t say whether linen is included.
With an independent cleaner you agree this individually. Possible set-ups:
- you keep two or three sets per bed, the cleaner changes beds from your stock and you wash the used linen yourself or at a laundry,
- the cleaner washes and hangs the linen in the flat – which makes the clean longer,
- the cleaner takes the linen away and brings it back clean – an extra service you pay for separately.
How much does an Airbnb cleaner in Prague cost?
A studio (1+kk) turnover costs 799–1,200 CZK at Prague companies with public price lists. The prices are not directly comparable: VAT, linen and pricing method (by flat layout or by number of guests) all differ.
| Who | Smaller flat | Larger flat | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ohayno | 1+kk from 799 CZK (room from 600 CZK) | 2+kk from 1,099 CZK, 3+kk from 1,499 CZK | excl. 21% VAT; linen and toiletries not specified |
| CleanStay | 1+kk from 990 CZK | 2+kk from 1,290 CZK, 3+kk from 1,690 CZK | no laundry or supplies; laundry from 90 CZK per kg |
| Pecka úklid | 1+kk up to 45 m² from 1,200 CZK | 2+kk from 1,500 CZK, 3+kk from 1,900 CZK | includes bed change, toiletries and laundry |
| Youklid | 1–2 guests 1,190 CZK (2–3 h) | 2–4 guests 1,390 CZK, 4–6 guests 1,590 CZK | linen not specified |
| Cleaner on HledámÚklid | rate 300–360 CZK/h; 2 hours approx. 600–730 CZK | 3 hours approx. 890–1,090 CZK | linen by agreement, paid directly to her |
By our calculation, Ohayno’s 799 CZK studio price comes to about 967 CZK once 21% VAT is added. Companies that don’t publish an Airbnb price list (for example Úklidmi.cz) quote individually. An independent cleaner can make sense if you handle linen yourself and mainly need reliability and flexible timing; a company suits hosts who want linen and toiletries in one package or manage several flats.
Cleaning for Airbnb hosts
Find a regular cleaner nearby. The 39 CZK fee applies only once someone accepts your request; you pay for cleaning directly, no commission.
How to find a regular Airbnb cleaner in Prague
A regular cleaner knows the flat, your instructions and your booking rhythm – for a short-term rental that matters more than the lowest price. A process that works:
- Post a request with the address, flat size and an estimate of cleans per month. Cleaners nearby will see it and the 39 CZK fee is charged only when one of them accepts. You can also pick a specific cleaner in the catalogue. For offers from cleaning companies, use a business request for Airbnb – only companies see it.
- Book a trial clean and walk the cleaner through the checklist, where linen and toiletries are kept and how rubbish is sorted.
- Sort out access: a key box with a code, a smart lock or a spare set of keys. Change the code when the arrangement ends.
- Leave a buffer between check-out and check-in. For example, check-out at 10:00 and check-in at 15:00 gives five hours even if a guest leaves late. Send the cleaner your dates or share a calendar – HledámÚklid is not connected to Airbnb or Booking.
- Ask for photos after every clean. They help with guest complaints and with damage disputes, which you handle with Airbnb or Booking.
- Agree on payment: you pay the cleaner directly – in cash, by bank transfer or against an invoice if she is self-employed. Per clean or monthly.
- Plan a back-up: who cleans when your cleaner is ill or on holiday?
Your cleaner should work under a trade licence (živnostenský list), or you sign an agreement to perform work (dohoda o provedení práce) with her – see our article on hiring a cleaner legally. Managing several flats? You’re not alone: according to Inside Airbnb, 80.8% of Prague listings belong to hosts with more than one listing.
Short-term rental rules in Prague right now
Short-term rental rules are often described inaccurately online. In short, as of 14 October 2026:
- EU Regulation 2024/1028 has applied since 20 May 2026. A member state that wants data on rentals from platforms must set up a registration procedure; where one exists, hosts provide a registration number and platforms must display it in the listing.
- The Czech registration law (eTurista) has not been passed. In September 2026 the Ministry for Regional Development sent a new draft to the inter-ministerial comment procedure; according to Podnikatel.cz, the amendment would, if adopted, apply from 1 January 2028. Dates like “registration from 1 October 2026” or fines “up to 100,000 CZK” that circulate online referred only to drafts.
- There is no limit on rental days in Prague. Powers for municipalities to set one appeared only in drafts from 2024 and 2026; none was adopted.
- Registering foreign guests: a host must report the stay of a foreign national to the police within 3 working days (Section 102 of Act No. 326/1999 Coll.); business hosts do so electronically, in practice via the Ubyport system. Hosts must also keep a house register (domovní kniha).
- Tourist tax (poplatek z pobytu) in Prague is 50 CZK per person for each day of the stay except the day of arrival; the host collects and pays it. Prague collected 933 million CZK from it in 2025.

No. You arrange dates with your cleaner based on your booking calendar – by message, phone or a shared calendar.
