Quick answer

Window cleaning in Prague costs roughly 130–290 CZK per standard window cleaned on both sides according to the price lists of Ukliď mi, Cleaning Magic and Ohayno, and 400–500 CZK for double and French windows. With an hourly cleaner from HledámÚklid, a smaller window costs roughly 75–90 CZK per window. Size, number of panes and dirt push the price up.

How much does window cleaning cost in Prague? Cleaning companies charge roughly 130–290 CZK for a standard window cleaned inside and out, while large and French windows cost more. With a cleaner who charges by the hour, the price depends on how many windows you have and how long they take. Below are company price lists with sources, an estimate based on HledámÚklid catalogue rates, what makes the job more expensive and how to prepare.

Window cleaning price per window: Prague company price lists

Companies usually charge per window, depending on its size and number of panes. All prices in the table are for a window cleaned on both sides:

Prices per window, both sides; price lists retrieved 14 October 2026.
CompanySmall or standard windowLarge or multi-pane windowSpecial windowsVAT
Ohayno240 CZK for a standard 130 × 140 cm window, 180 CZK when added to a booked cleannon-standard windows about 132 CZK/m²–excl. VAT, minimum order 760 CZK
Ukliď mifrom 130 CZK, standard window 200 CZK–double window (two frames) 400 CZK, French window 500 CZKnot stated
Cleaning Magicsingle pane 1170 × 570 mm 140 CZK, wide single pane 190 CZKtwo-pane 1400 × 1300 mm 290 CZK, three-pane 360 CZKbalcony unit (window + door) 400 CZKnot stated

Some companies charge per m² or per hour: MYTÍ OKEN s.r.o. from 22 CZK/m² (excl. VAT, minimum 2,100 CZK per visit), Pecka úklid 450 CZK an hour or from 60 CZK/m² (minimum 1,350 CZK, not VAT-registered). Because of minimum orders, having just two or three windows cleaned by a company can cost more than the per-window price suggests.

What window cleaning costs with an hourly cleaner

Cleaners on HledámÚklid charge the rate shown in their profile, typically 300–360 CZK/h (as of 14 October 2026). To estimate a per-window price we assume 15 minutes for a smaller window cleaned on both sides, so one window costs roughly 75–90 CZK per window. Ohayno puts a standard 130 × 140 cm window at about 30 minutes, so a large window with frames can cost about twice as much at an hourly rate.

Rough calculation: smaller window 15 minutes, large window 30 minutes (Ohayno’s figure), typical HledámÚklid rates. Actual time depends on dirt and access.
WindowsTime (approx.)Hourly cleaner
8 smaller windowsabout 2 hours600–730 CZK
4 large windowsabout 2 hours600–730 CZK
6 large windowsabout 3 hours890–1,090 CZK
8 large windowsabout 4 hours1,190–1,450 CZK

Paying by the hour makes most sense when you have many windows or combine them with a regular clean. Cleaners who offer window cleaning are listed on our window cleaning page.

What makes window cleaning more expensive

  • Size and number of panes. At Cleaning Magic a two-pane window costs 290 CZK, more than twice a single pane (140 CZK) by our calculation.
  • Double windows. Two frames one behind the other mean four glass surfaces; Ukliď mi charges 400 CZK for one, twice its standard window price.
  • French windows and balcony doors. Ukliď mi charges 500 CZK for a French window, Cleaning Magic 400 CZK for a balcony unit.
  • Dirt. Ukliď mi adds 30% for heavier dirt. Paint or silicone left after renovation takes extra time.
  • Frames, sills, blinds and screens. Agree in advance whether they are included; they lengthen the job.
  • VAT. Window cleaning in households has carried the standard 21% VAT rate since 1 January 2024 (it used to be reduced). Ohayno and MYTÍ OKEN s.r.o. quote prices excluding VAT.

Company or independent cleaner: who is better value?

A company suits large glass areas, windows at height and clients who need a VAT invoice. Watch out for minimum orders, though (Ohayno 760 CZK, Pecka úklid 1,350 CZK, MYTÍ OKEN s.r.o. 2,100 CZK per visit), and for VAT on top of prices quoted without it.

An independent cleaner is good value when you want windows done together with a regular or deep clean: you pay for the time worked and agree the scope directly. Combining saves money even with companies: Ohayno charges 180 CZK instead of 240 CZK per window added to a clean, 25% less by our calculation. When to clean windows and how to prepare

Windows are most often cleaned in spring and autumn, frequently together with a deep clean. Pick a day without frost or direct sunshine: in the sun, water dries too fast and leaves streaks. Before the cleaner arrives:

  1. Count your windows by type (standard, two-pane, double, French, balcony doors) and send the cleaner photos.
  2. Clear the window sills of plants, decorations and anything behind the curtains.
  3. Take down or pull back curtains; washing them is usually not part of window cleaning.
  4. Say in advance whether you want frames, sills, blinds and insect screens cleaned too.
  5. Agree whose products and tools will be used (squeegee, microfibre cloths, stepladder).
  6. Check the windows in daylight afterwards. Under the Czech Civil Code, defects should be reported without undue delay, so mention any streaks straight away.

Safety: cleaning windows at height

Window cleaning is one of the few cleaning jobs with a real risk of falling. A simple rule applies: whatever cannot be cleaned safely from inside the flat is a job for a specialist company.

  • A cleaner should never stand on the window sill or lean out of the window.
  • Leave windows that do not open inwards and large glass areas on upper floors to a company with equipment for work at height.
  • Use only a stable stepladder on a level floor.
  • If glass breaks or a frame is damaged, the party that breached its contractual duty is liable (§ 2913 of the Czech Civil Code). Many companies mention liability insurance, but the law does not require it. HledámÚklid is an intermediary and does not offer insurance.

It depends on the number and size of the windows. Eight smaller windows take about 2 hours, so roughly 600–730 CZK with a HledámÚklid cleaner. With companies, mind the minimum order, for example 760 CZK at Ohayno.
